Who the **** do these guys think they are? Ergonomic is the most abused word in the english language, right behind "SLI-approved" and "Vista-Compatible". Some clownass just described a MONITOR as being ergonomic in a review I read. Nobody knows what the word means. I don't even know what it means except that generally if something is ergonomic it won't cause repetitive motion injury. Right? What kind of crazyass is going to adjust his monitor so much he gets carpal tunnel syndrome? Earlier I read about some headphones that were "ergonomic".

There are two things that can be ergonomic in the world, yes, three things that can prevent repetitive motion injury. Keyboard, Mouse, Chair. Next I'm going to read about a SLI-approved Vista-Compatible Ergonomic speakers.

I'm going to print some "Ergonomic Vista-Compatible" labels and go crazy at the supermarket when I stop being a lazy cow. I'll put it on bananas and toilet paper and magazines and raw meat and stuff, and I bet sales will double.

I'm totally serious I'm going to do it. I'll bring my camera or something.

A screen can be ergonomic if it reduces fatigue and discomfort, and increases productivity. Basically, if its not to bright and not to dim, if it is in the right position, if it is easy on the eyes, things like that. Ergonomics does not just prevent RSI and similar injuries.

You said yourself that you dont know what ergonomic means, so why are you saying that the quite correct use of ergonomic in this case is wrong? Do your research

Ah, but that is all in the adjustment. You can have an ergonomic desk layout, but the screen itself is not inherently ergonomic.

This reminds me of some headphones I saw that were 'digital-ready'

Not all of it is the desk layout though. The ability to tilt and adjust the screen height, and the screen brightness/contrast also contributes to ergonomics

You can adjust brightness/contrast on everything, and height/tilt can be done either though the screen or through layout. None of that makes it ergonomic.

It could be made of some kind of psycho-reactive plastic that adjusts it's harmonic vibrations based off your mood.

Or it could be yet another pointless buzz word thrown around to make things sound cool.
