Haha. I need a challenge; also there is a kinnet. Some semi-mega monster thing..And theres actually 9 levels of monster cave. Plently of fun.

Edit: Nevermind... Fortress loss because all my dwarves wanted to go gather som materials..in the fucking cave and didnt even get passed the first CORRIDOR of the first level. Antmen just fucking ripped them apart.

You can forbid pretty much everthing if I recall well, even some thing you would have no reason to forbid (why would you forbid a door if you can lock it?)

Do we get attacked by armies of creatures from outside our region? Wanna know cause I never saw anything more dangerous than a wolf around my fortress, but wanna be sure... :)

You cant get imigrants in a island, can you? I heard sea travel is no on yet, meaning that starting on a island would cut out the acess of other nations to you...

You get goblin sieges around 4th year. Hydras and dragons come, too.

Thats trouble... is it true that attacks keep increasing until you can no longer hold em, or if you be good enough you can survive em all?

500 weapon traps and bridge traps and pits filled with spears followed by 8 ballistas followed by a squad of 20 steel plate armoured hammerers will hold off anything you can throw at it

Thanks for the tip in how to terminate invaders :)

There is a problematic child in my fortress: It started to have strange mood, and since I didnt knew how to solve nor what it caused I just let it be... now she went insane and depressed at once! what causes this and how should I solve?

I just got my third soap maker in the second immigration wave.
Is it me, or do you only get immigrants with useless skills these days?

Also, one of my equally useless gem cutters just became possessed. I haven't found a single gem yet, and I'm not going to destroy my careful planning for a stupid jeweler.

You only get imigrants with useless skills :) Thats why whenever someone reaches my fortress, I mark it as a peasant and give it a new job then the time comes, and he does that job for life.

Got another problem I dont know how to solve: I gave my sherif everthing he needs, but aparently the office, dining and bed rooms arent as good as they should be... what I need to make em better?

smooth and engrave everything.
If that isn't enough, put some expensive stuff in the rooms.

I restricted access in the entire thing. They still went for it.

Statues. You should have a master or legendary mason by now.

Okay, I had this idea and I kinda wonder how well it work... so I would put a 2 deep moat around my fortress and install levered floodgates so that is any bad guys try to get is I close down the whole fortress and flood the entire area... aside from possible issues with killing my own men it seems like a sound strategy... worth working towards to test?

Oh, and by the way... thanks for destroying my life.

It depends on where goblins or other creatures would come from. Your moat might exactly be on ground level, they could just walk past it becuase your fortress really just might be inside a nice hill. Like you could have this moat around your fortress, but ramps leading a Z level up onto a higher elevation (just above your fortress) and then they could just walk past your moat and down into your fortress.

Tried a glacier map for the first time... best ever

FPS is awesome.

Farming can be done... ice cavein -> water

Limestone stone layer for great metals... just starting on this. I put all my 20 or so immigrants on practice wrestling. Need to conserve wood (altough I took a lot of logs from the start). Human caravan got pissed off and left... I couldhave got the anvil i need to start make arms..

Thanks to great FPS, my first siege has appeared! They just sit around tough. Tried sending my wrestlern00bs horde against the gobs... no luck they get machinegunned by ranged. Maybe I should dig a tunnel to the goblins or something.

Better yet, I have to figure out how to nerf the stupid nuclear arrows with modding...
