On behalf of the spring community, we appoligise with the invconvience with the problems existing with the servers and should be back on shortly.

Unsure at the moment.

I suspect Tobi had a fit with desync related problems and booted the servers :D

I have a tasserver .34 (current) running at peet.no-ip.info, port 8200. It is not running in lan mode, so you will need to reregister your account.

You can do direct IP with one of the standard gamemodes, IIRC.
I don't know how anymore though, it's probably somewhere on the wiki.

I used to do it in the early days of Spring, when the lobby sucked beyond imagination.
