Random WIP for model noobs
Thanks.

seperate the community more by causing a elitist gap..
less people will look at this thread cos it says for noobs... and apart from the few nice modellers who offer critique but at the same time can offer praise of which you seem to be incapable of. Users wont check it much imo and it would be a dead thread... and the input of users is as important to me as modellers..

Rattle. If you want to do this, create a proper thread with guidelines, information and other help for noobs. Its IMPORTANT to give feedback to modelling noobs and have a constructive form under which they can advance their skill and learn, with help. The spring community needs more content developers and the best way to get them is to train them from scratch.
This is just an insult to people trying to learn to model, it is not constructive in the slightest. Even as a joke, it is not helpful in the slightest to the community.

There's enough information on the internet and this forum. It got me from point zero in mid 2006 to where I'm at now and I still don't know much, especially knowledge-wise. But it's enough for a one man project.
One thing no one tells you are the other little things you need, like social skills if you intend to show your work of publically and expect criticism. Stubbornness if you intend to become any better. Being true to yourself when it comes to decide what's good and clean or bad and messy work. Etcetera...
Anyway Peet is right about this being a (bad) joke. Might as well get locked.

i started like last week reading no tutorials or anything i find tutorials helpful sometimes but id rather work stuff out myself thats how i usually do stuff i got some help from other modellers on what to do and i know my model is nowere near perfect but its an improvement on its original stage..
i dont mind criticism i took the criticism from the other modellers well and it helped me alot
u just seemed overly negative in a flamey way towards the model in general were as others were a bit more helpful and this post didnt help..
cant expect people to be pro so quik can u ? and im learning by making mistakes which is the best way imo
and apart from my basic tank my other models are a tad more complex not making it easy for myself but if i wanna learn i wanna learn the hardway not by uvmapping a cube and texturing it and make it run in spring.. :p
i wanna learn the full whack Modelling/UVmap/Texturing/Compilation and Scripting and finally get working units..
id take any criticism just not flaming...
and tbh the internet fails at understanding if people are being serious or sarcastic or what anywayz
