but he's right, avoidfriendly=0 is probably the biggest CPU gain you can get in the weapons department.

hence why S44 actually runs smoother than most *A mods (despite higher unit counts and much more detailed units), since the bulk of the units (infantry) are using collidefriendly/avoidfriendly=0 weapons (smallarms).

Ie, I can't play a proper game of anything but S44 on my crappy laptop, because its a 1.5ghz celeron. S44 hardly runs like butter, but it's certainly playable (10-15 FPS) as opposed to, well, anything else.
