TASClient (latest version available here)

Two bugs:
If it fails to parse the TASSERVER protocol line, it gives an error "Server version (0.34) not supported." It should give a different error IMHO, like "incorrect TASSERVER line" or even just "syntax error".
It does not support the servermode parameter to TASSERVER command yet, which is in 0.35 TASServer (a 0/1 on the end of the command to indicate whether the server is in LAN mode).

mmmh not really, it supposes that if the TASSERVER can't be parsed it's because the lobby doesn't support the server version and then check for a new oneTobi wrote:If it fails to parse the TASSERVER protocol line, it gives an error "Server version (0.34) not supported." it does but i put the code in comment to still be able to connect to the current serverTobi wrote:It does not support the servermode parameter to TASSERVER command yet, which is in 0.35 TASServer (a 0/1 on the end of the command to indicate whether the server is in LAN mode).
make it work for both servers, it makes testing problematic.Satirik wrote:it does but i put the code in comment to still be able to connect to the current serverTobi wrote:It does not support the servermode parameter to TASSERVER command yet, which is in 0.35 TASServer (a 0/1 on the end of the command to indicate whether the server is in LAN mode).
the next version of the lobby should not be compatible with server 0.34 anyway because of the SETSCRIPTTAG and updatebattledetails changement so i'll change it soonimbaczek wrote:make it work for both servers, it makes testing problematic.Satirik wrote:it does but i put the code in comment to still be able to connect to the current serverTobi wrote:It does not support the servermode parameter to TASSERVER command yet, which is in 0.35 TASServer (a 0/1 on the end of the command to indicate whether the server is in LAN mode).
next big think i'll try to implement is an integrated tutorial
it would work by step, each step showing the more important thing and greying the rest, with a small text to explain the thing, and each tutorial would popup up the first time you open a form, there would be a tutorial for the main form :
1 - registering an account
2 - it would show the connect button
3 - chat
4 - battle list
5 - filters
6 - players list + context menu
7 - hosting
8 - replays
9 - search uf
10 - help
the hosting form
1 - hosting type
2... each part of the host form
the battle form
1 - choosing map / map description
2 - drawing boxes
3 - choosing your team etc
4- the different battle parameters
5 - unit restriction
6 - player list (sorting) and context menu
7 - host menu
8 - bots
9 - ladder options
the replay form
- each button etc
so if you have a better idea or want to provide the explication text you can reply :)

massive lag
I am using v35, aka current.
It runs fine for about 12 seconds, then either lags and disconnects me, or just freezes.

yea i have same problem, i load TASclient up, then after about 5-10 seconds (it has logged into the server by this stage) it uses loads of cpu, so much i cant do anything, for around 1- 2 mins. After this its fine.. its just annoying to have your computer freeze up for 2 mins evrytime you open tasclient....
Re: massive lag
you mean 91 ? you don't have that bug with the "official" one ?rcdraco wrote:I am using v35, aka current.
