I can sort out integration issues except integrating it into tasclient, because I dont own delphi ..
And yes it could be as you say :)
No integration (no extra code) is needed to be added to spring itself. It can all be done just with upcoming changes of tasserver and new "autohost interace" in svn spring!

if you want, springlobby is coded in c++ & wxwidgets, we had something like this in the long term roadmap, if you wanna contribute, you're welcome

btw, i would presonally either have the host to spawn the server or send the chat room creation/menament to remore servers, so eg. those you can't run both can use cuppeh's server

my only concern is the only thing is that the way it creates/meanges the rooms should be possibily approved by other lobbis so we can define a standard

I think this would be a great idea! Of course this is coming from someone who has used teamspeak to chat with friends while playing the same team :D (and that really does rock, try it if you haven´t) . But I reckon if it were integrated you´d far more routinely be able to voice chat with people on your team, which would certainly be good :).

yet again

Do not include this in the main lobby, I don't want to have to listen to 8 year olds whining on mics saying words like, "pwned, leet, and uber".

If you are integrating it, I want to be able to turn it off, and make it signal other players that I have it disabled.

I would prefer if this was able to be turned off.

Especially in #main.

I would prefer this be off by default to save on bandwidth and CPU load.

I dont think anyone mentioned actually integrating it into channels, espcially not #main

IMO, Voice communication for ingame play would be pretty nice to have.

As long as its set to team only channels, and has a player selectable mute button (always going to be somebody that will rage) , and the ability to be activated/disabled either ingame or elsewhere.

For the main lobby, I don't think its value is very high, just text chat does the job very well.

This is probably not very popular idea..
Most reactions are negative so I'm not going forward to make this.

I think people new to spring would benefit most from this and those are not really present here. So yeah, go ahead.

I talked to BigHead and I will try some sample implementation for SpringLobby after next spring release :)

As long as you can make the Spring wrapper for it better than the default Mumble, which never seems to work on integrated audio, at least under Windows.
