Supreme Battlefield
I'm fairly certain this isn't the right place for this question, I apologize for that.
I've been trying to play the seemingly popular map: Supreme Battlefield, however when I load the spring battleroom, it tells me it skipped that file because of a bad checksum.
Is there something I'm missing in the install, or is the copy on unknown-files I downloaded multiple times from separate mirrors just bad?
Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I've been playing the small v2 one, that's what made me want to try an really large one. I wasn't aware there were heavy requirements for it. Thanks for the update :)Felix the Cat wrote:1) You want Small Supreme Battlefield. Very few people have computers that can handle the full Supreme Battlefield, and nobody plays it anyways.
2) ...uh, that's it.
3) I do like to number my posts though!
Can you guys suggest other really good maps for large battles?

By large, i hope you mean 5v5 or less. Around the 8v8 mark, the game starts to get a little silly.
Delta Siege Dry (3v3 to 5v5), Altored Divide (3v3 to 5v5) and Tabula (4v4) are the most popular. Small Supreme Battlefield Dry (3v3 to 5v5) is good as well, and familiar.
Tumult (4v4), Xanthe Terra (any number), MoonQ20x (2v2 to 4v4) or Charlie in the hills (3v3 to 5v5) are good for something a bit more open and more aggressive.
Victoria Crater (3v3 to 4v4) and Parched Mesa (4v4) are old favourites.
For something really aggressive, try Comet Catcher or Moon Quartet.
Most of the 5v5 maps can be played as 8v8 or so. But i wouldnt advise it. Players tend to start tripping up over eachother and lagging out. If you're playing against AI's and your cpu can handle it though, go ahead and try an 8v8 or even a 10v10 on Delta Siege Rev or Duo, dry or wet.

Tangerine, Tropical and Terra do very well for 3v3 - 5v5 as well as the maps recently released by cronos all do well for large games.Saktoth wrote:By large, i hope you mean 5v5 or less. Around the 8v8 mark, the game starts to get a little silly.

just for reference a good 2v2 on a mid-sized map may be more intense and rewarding than a gigantic 6v6 with a pack of nubs on a giant map.

If you've downloaded this file recently, the file name will be inaccurate. Make sure theres a . between the name and file type (Supremebattlefield.sd7) or .sdz
to comfirm if it's sdz or sd7 try open it as a zipped folder. if it works, it's .sdz, if not it's sd7.
if not use the most reliable mirror (Wolfgame) then check the name again.
If still refuses to work, run the spring installer
