magnetic_Lands_V1 New map by cronos 32x32

Post by cronos »

PRO_BasiC (Yan Gerzon) Asked me if I could do a big open map with lots of space to move crowds of units formations in that is kind of empty in the centre on the resource side to avoided base defences vs base defences battles and promote Armey game play and this I what I created to do that

The texture is 16384x 16384 pixel

The height map is 2049x2049

32x32

http://maxstudios.de/images/ta/magnetic_Lands_V1.zip and the magnetic_Lands_V1.sd7 is in the zip

All the images work, it's just the map that doesn't.

Whatever software your server uses, it REALLY fails. It shows a file in the dir listing while it's being uploaded :P

Did you use terragen for generating the ground textures? looks bit like terragen ground...

A smaller version would be great, 16x16

Just speaking from experience, don't put the .sd7 map into another zip.

Its already compressed, and most people are too lazy to extract the map from the zip file, and you will have just general frustration from the start.

That has killed more potentially good maps than anything else, because ppl just like to click the link, download, play.

indeed. i suggest uploading to UF. that being said, if people are too stupid to unzip it, thats not his fault.

*edit* and he has clearly stated his reason for doing it currently.

The file did not upload to unknown files over the php function so I put it on my Owen server until I find a way to upload it there.
