The question should be directed to Gnome. Basically the isairbase=1; tag in TA allow transported units to fire. So in Gnome's BTX TA, there are units like cubes with weapons that the tank can load.

With a bit more scripting the tanks can be made to auto-load cubes nearby, and the cubes can be made not to fire unless loaded.

However I don't know if Spring isairbase=1; also allow transported units to fire, but it shouldn't be harder than allowing for more weapons.

I was bored this afternoon so I had a go at producing a Baneblade super heavy battle tank in Silo. Here's the results so far (240 faces including under-side):

Image

Can't wait to start adding all the turrets, 7 in all.

Of course I spent more time trying to create a 3DO out of the model than actually creating it, but that's just because I like programmatical solutions...

<update>

460 faces, two main cannons, two lascannons, three heavy bolters and some rudimentary textures later...

Image

Now I need to give it a unit script that can convert the seven guns into three functional weapon systems...

This mistake. Only v 2.1, without updates!

WOW! I took three day's to make a small infantry man, then was snagged because my 3d program dosent convert to the right file type when it is saved. And i didnt want to pay a lot of money. Then my trial period ended for my 3d builder. Then i kindof lost the mean's to do anything else, forgot about it and started to play Spring.

That is also a really cool looking Baneblade, if i must say it.

Great Job Benito

Baneblades are spiffy. Bristling with bolters, lasers and a verity of other killy things, they are great for killing infantry and tank's alike. Only problem is they are slow, expenceive and huge.

You know... I'm just planning to convert WH40KTA to Spring. So don't remodel units already in there.

Yeah, in WH40:TA, isn't there only Space marine and Eldar?
So, making the Imperial Guard is not a wast of time.
Some big tank with High Trajectory :)

I would love to see Tyranid (I've got an army of those). But it's organic units and they can't be good looking (but perhpas with the new unit format??)
