No. I'm not a chef or anything, but the way something is prepared can alter the taste, texture, and nutritional (I've done actual research on nutrition for one of my psychology classes) value of it. Differing prepartion techniques goes for all foods, including donuts, and some of the differences can be more subtle than others.

We have tastebuds because they can be used to signal to us when something is bad for us to eat. That means that there's something important about taste especially since it's related to the gag reflex. The only problem with relying on your tastebuds is that people tend to become addicted to certain unhealthy foods and blame it on the foods' flavor.Snipawolf wrote:Who the hell cares? Food is food. I am totally apathetic as long as it is edible and doesn't make me gag. I try to eat well, but taste means jack crap to me.
Tasting different foods can be fun! Do you know how many different flavors of tea there are out there, orange, Earl Grey, red tea, cinnamon, honey flavored, jasmine, rose, black tea, white tea, etc. No this isn't some weeaboo thing that I have. It's just a hobby. I like English, Indian, and Asian teas.

No, I mean eating food for nutrition... Eating cheese makes me gag... Though I am sure it is good for other people.
I would love to try different kinds of tea, tea is not very nutritional in most cases, but I love it nonetheless. Tasting food to taste it is alright, but for eating dinner, eat the damn dinner... It doesn't matter much to me.
