TopGear is a car reviewing show, with reviews and cool things and comedy. Overall, top notch entertainment even if you are only mildly interested in cars.

No, they do cool stuff. They once played 5-a-side soccer with Toyota Aygos (sp?), which are tiny little cars.
Another time Jeremy Clarkson (one of the presenters) raced a Range Rover against a British Army Challenger II tank to see if it could line it up in it's sights such that if the gunner fired the car would be destroyed.
They do all sorts of insane things with cars 8)

<3 Top gear (despite having a *slightly* different world view to Mr Clarkson) This is them trying to destroy a toyota hylux through a variety of increasingly contrived situations, pretty entertaining tv imo

Top Gear is THE #1 reason for BBC existence. Even though I've never been in UK. :P

If you didn't watch it, you lost at life, it's that good.

Going to the North Pole was kickass.

Top Gear is so much more than just a car show, as others have said. I'm not even very interested in cars, but I'm really looking forward to it. Its the BBC's top show ATM.

Exactly. It IS a car show, but it's not too smug or smart to understand, and it's EXTREMELY entertaining and accessible as it goes through it's numbers.
