As some fo you know, skirmish AI progress has recently zoomed forwards, and as even fewer of you know, the reason for that may be competition and time restraints.

As it stands Zaphod has a fully working skirmish AI that has incomplete attack code. Thus it doesnt know how to use the forces it uses. Zaphods original plans where to release yesterday or saturday. He is now on holiday for 2 weeks.

I on the other hand am now zooming ahead to catch upwith him having passed a few obstacles of my own. The core of my AI is finished and I am now faced with the easy stuff.

However as it stands, are there others with plans or projects in the running? Do me and zaphod have more competition?

And as for help coding, I have recieved a few lines of code Napalm gave me which themselves where suggestions for replacement of soemthign I coded. A handful have helped with the theory. But so far the onyl people to doa ny AI code at all are:

Jouninkomiko

K-man
me
Napalm
Zaphod

and half of those are SY's. Now really this must be corrected surely..

:shock: 2 weeks! go for it alantai! own the fecker ;) good luck. And btw i'm for sure up for helping beat i mean test the AI :) its still for OTA right???

Of course the fun thing would be to pit your skirimish AIs against each other (no cheating!) ;)

All of which has bene promised or implied by SJ to be in the next major release.

And Min3mat, untill I code in entirely dynamic building selection, the AI shall remain coded to detect arm or core for OTA, however I ahve placed a few thigns in there for swta and AA but they arent complete. Shouldnt eb too hard though considering they're really just initial build orders which'll be moved into a file soon enough anyways.
