IIRC the Core 2 Extreme series is what intel are calling their newest quad core processors. Oh, and they cost like £520. No thx:)

I suggest buying from Ebuyer.co.uk

AF told me about this site, they are relatively cheap and do a good level of after sales support, going as far as to be willing to accept the return of an undamaged graphics card and replace it with a new one XD stupid monitor cable was busted and needed replacing.

Good choice. Only downside is that it always stretches and can't scale in aspect ratio. So it's not the best display for apps/games which enforce a 4:3 resolution. About any newer title supports 16:10 however (including spring, even though UI gets stretched then). Forcing through the driver does not work either.

Oh yeah, don't even bother installing this MagicColor stuff which comes with it as it doesn't support 8800 cards as of now. You can still fine tune it through the OSD menu or select one of the premade profiles.

Hell I even got it for about the same price (├óÔÇÜ┬¼240).

Yeah I was going for budget monitor so I had more to fork out on other stuff and I am pretty confident that most games I'll be playing will have optional 16:10 aspect ratio. Also I read in the reviews that even though the quoted contrast ratio is 3000:1 it is actually 800:1 but with some "feature" that bumps it up. Still, that didn't discourage me.

The monitor looks good for the price and has a pretty good specification (2ms response time for example) and also got a load of good reviews. I've never even had a flatscreen, nevermind a 20", so this will probably be like a total dream monitor to me.

Yeah, pretty much every modern game has 16:10 available. Many that don't can have their config files/reg entries modified to gain it.

Why did I get 100 some odd PM's of the word "HOUSE"? That crap makes noise and annoyance you know... Luckily I was at work so it just annoyed other moderators enough to ban you.
