thats like the one story where the guy killed his other 6 starting dwarves and locked himself inside a mountain killing anyone who comes there ~_~

Do you mean Urist? the person doing that got her killed, ended up hitting a Gold vine after the magma then kept going intil a pit.

Soon after Urist got deep fryed by a spirit of fire.
Other wise the person doing it got to busy and needed to end it.

There's a new release donation pool open for anyone who cares to donate some money to support Toady One (the developer) and the game.

I've personally pledged over thirty dollars. (Actually, I made a pledge to match 6% of the donations total, which is the PayPal fee plus 2% more. At the time I posted the amount would have been $34 and change, and there have been over $100 more of pledges recently.)

You guys have any elaborate plans for the new version?

I'm planning on making a fortress in the shape of a pyramid. Multiple screw pumps will draw water up from the bottom to the very top, where it will cascade down the sides and then go back into the bottom, where it is drawn up again. Eventually the outer walls will be made out of glass windows for greater effect.

im gonna find the most amusing, most gruesome way to slaughter cats and then im going to find the most efficient way to use their bodies as a resource for my fortress, while building a pressure plate system on the front gate that randomly drowns the dwarves rooms with lava, or prevents it.

i also plan on caging a troll and goblins and possibly humans and elves too and recreate the scenario from the first lord of the rings with the balin's tomb scene.

if that's not epic enough, im going to build a smiley made out of floodgates that changes from :) to

from a pressure plate that's on the entrance of my fortress.
