They suck because they dont play competitively, as a sport, but recreationally, as a game. All you need is the competitive mindset and plenty of time on your hands, and most anyone can get good at a game. Watching other people play and studying your replays isnt exactly everyones idea of fun, in fact, some people would call that work.
Lets be serious though folks, if you want to play a really competitive RTS, play *craft or another commercial RTS and get your arse handed to you by koreans. Spring should be taken with a grain of salt (Though all such things should be taken with a grain of salt TBH. Its a computer game. Being good at a computer game doesnt make you better than everyone else. It means there is probably something wrong with you.)
