why? the is new AK in new war this is not a replacement for the orginal TA. this unit now can to lean, forward, backward, left and right. and the wapon can aiming separate for 2 targets. and this pieace's not too many polis.

check your model for inconsistancies on vertices...

I've circled 2 errors, you moved the hydraulic up, without moving all the verts together, they make an interesting cylinder as they are, with it being all pointy :P

im little confused or i just dont really understand :| (sorry this my fault) hm.. this is fully 2 diferent piece , can move up and down the think pipe (every) :), i see the this elements but the vertex is are good. i not see somethnig wrong.
this element is have 6 vertices and, on 3 side and 6 triangle.

still though, 3 sided cylinders, ew...

not my best choice...

but its your mech, and if its a cylinder made from 3 sides, its "correct"

there is my AK; model is finished, and it seems i will never finish texture :?

i don't know how much triangles it has, but i think it is around 400

Redo it for the experience and you might end up with a better result. I do that all the time.

Well... no I don't really like the model that's true. The AK is sturdier and not as spindly, IMO. Perhaps that was a bit harsh. The feet and legs are good, but the torso needs some more work, the shape looks weird to me. Perhaps if you could post a shot with edges visible. Also, the way the arms are connected to the torso isn't exactly going to work, same for the hydraulics in the center. The torso should have free 360° rotation.

im noob in the modeling, but i look more aggressive than origianal AK, and looks taller not a see like a small stumpy dwarf like the original AK :roll: but the lower legs is little forgotten,to shelve. also i have bad viewpointthis robot looks like the novacat, just the center.

I dont want start again the model, this unit
i want the learn the 3d modelling right
but i have more place for the learing in othe units rocko,stumpy etc..
So, the arms-shoulders is can turning in 20°/-25° for aim 2 different targets the weapons is can turn around -10°/+90°,
the torso part is in 3 piece, the lowest piece the "pelvis", little higher the "lower torso" and following the "upper torso"
The upper torso can turn around 360° , but i see little collision with the arms and the lower torso, thnik i just move up or turn a bit and problam solved. :|

I apology, for my invective. i really sorry but this "scratch" is f..ked up. I think nobody scratching here.. here in the "Art & Modelling"

Its actually a pretty good model :), I think the texturing really needed redoing but the model looks good. From a noob point of veiw (mine).

Crap, that model all of a sudden reminded me of the scene with the Mad Cat turning to chase the Raven in the MechCommander intro video [RUN YER BOI NOW! {remember? :shock: }]

i need remade the UVW and the textures yes. but i not finished before the tex this is made by 3dmax9. but thx master.

It looks tall because i made all angles 45, 90 degrees. for easier modeling and texturing. The texture can be more acurate and less disorted when model looks "boxy". When it will be animated the bot will be smaller. The Torso is that big for better ability to recognize the unit from distance. I also don't like the original style of some bots, they looks too childish for me.

If there will be someone who will make texture for it, I will send him the uvmaped model (blender file).

I think your model is too much detailed. If you consider how much people are peple looking on model from short distance, than you can save some polys.

And yes, my model looks like supernova, i like mech style, not humanoid.
