about the issues in TA, in spring too?
if i remember correctly, TA had the following restrictions. among others..
1.units can't build units
2.buildings can't build buildings
i wonder, how are things in spring? does it allow these?
a carrier that could construct planes, i believe it would be nice..

Hell, that's already possible in OTA. See the nanotowers.Zoombie wrote:Like a building that can build more turrets onto its self, is that what you are thinking along the line's of?
Mobiles can build mobiles in Spring, but currently they are built the same way buildings are built--you have to click on the map. There's no way to set the destination build spot to the unit doing to building, as far as I know.

nanotower = building, the part that the nanotower builds.... unit, no movement speed, can't build more than one because its in the way....
if you reclaim the nanotower, not the builder part... it'll STILL work because it is a unit...
and units do not build other units EVER, the closest you get is a necro...
minelayers build mines which are in fact buildings...
but due note that BOTH buildings AND units count towards the MAX unit limit..
edit: another thought....
50 bucks says you can airlift the nanotower's UNIT in TASpring AA with a valkarie and place it on the ground beside it, and have the origional tower build another builder nano unit, and both will work like seperate towers... .... hmmmm the possibilities....

Also in Spring factories can be transported (not by Altases, you need some of my special units). I don't remember if they can keep on building when transported.
Would be nice to have moving factories too. It's not the same as mobile building mobile, because:
- When a mobile unit build a mobile unit, what it builds has a fixed location on the ground.
- A mobile factory on the other would keep on moving while nanolathing, the pad where it builds on moving with the factory.
Only problem is that whan a move order is given to the factory, would it apply to the factory or the unit it spawns? I remember saying that factory that have weapons or can move should have to selecteable area, one to control what it builds, one to control the factory as a unit. But I can't see buildings with two selecteable spots in a near future in Spring. So maybe an expanded menu with each button doubled into "orders to factory itslef" and "order to spawned units" would be more practical.
