The hiberian peninsula was dominated by ??, then by ??, then by the romans, then the invading tribes from the north for a short while, then a few centuries by the new born musslins. They had madicine, poetry, music, theater, sciences (like Algebra), more advanced irrigation and cultivation techniques, etc. Centuries later, is has turned completely around...
