Left-side: RAI; Right-side: KAI

Sure looks like one side will win, until the turnaround point at 45 minutes into the game.. They make plenty of mistakes, but do some beautiful microing aswell..

Since unknownfiles rejected my 6M+ file and wouldnt take a .zip, i'm hosting it on my own site; http://veerman.ws/spring_replays/

That seems to be an older version of KAI judging from its factory placement and commander behavior, are you sure you have the 31/7 release?

Kai was version 0.12, Rai 0.55

Rai won thanks mainly to seaplane gunships that Kai didnt AA

There have been three different releases of 0.12 for 0.75b2, so that doesn't quite answer my question. It wouldn't have mattered much however, RAI'd very probably still have won.

I suspected as much, I knew the sea would be a great advantage that KAI wouldn't have. Did KAI over take RAI's land base?

I did a small tournament in 75b2, too:
Map: Evergreen_Haven-Redux-v02, ARM vs. ARM always.

AAI vs. KAI 0.23: although KAI ignored Tech1 production and stalled endlessly on its Tech2 factories, AAI was unable to take advantage of that and got its base crushed after about 30mins. due to missing Tech2 defenses.

KAI 0.23 vs. RAI 0.551: KAI went (again) for Hovercraft and Adv. Aircraft with 3 mexes from start, while RAI expanded as it always does and overran KAI's base.

A few of the better matches have taken place between KAI 0.12 (31/07) and RAI 0.551.

Match1: RAI had a slightly better expansion procedure and took control of the mid quickly, but leaving it mostly undefended concentrating a lot on resources (e.g. 4 mobile fusions). RAI only put up some Tech1 forces to struggle with the slowly approaching KAI, which rolled out a mix of Flashes, Stumpies, Bulldogs and AA. RAI nicely countered initial attacks with Thunders bombing supportively here and there, but were later on taken down quickly. Forces rose and KAI was able to take control of the few mid outposts with 2-3 penetrators plus support. RAI fought back but as more penetrators showed up, KAI expanded. And after mid was taken, the fall of RAI's base was just a matter of time.

Match2: KAI mainly focused on Hammers this time and got harrassed early by RAI's Flash-Zipper-Jeffy-Squads. KAI countered with speed producing Hammers only and a few select Tech2 machines as Panther and Phalanx and ran into RAI's Zeus, Hammer, Stumpy forces. LLTs and Sentinels supporting fire, RAI by now has a much better situation on the map, controlling a lot of ground and having a lot of resources tapped. Just when KAI decimated the opposing forces a bit and pushed forward to kill the outposts, RAI pumped in warriors and flashes to help even the odds. Then the first penetrators showed up and added the dps needed to finish the outposts. But RAI won't let that happen bringing in Fidos, Mavs and a lot of Tech1 stuff and both sides go crazy in mid.
Then something stupid happened: the RAI commander tried to build a factory amid the battlefield while he was already "touched" by penetrators a few seconds ago. The RAI commander died and his nuke eliminated a lot of RAI's own bulldogs and smaller stuff. But RAI still has the majority of the field (and thus resources) attacking now with Ravens, Penetrators, Shooters, Lugers and Merls, eventually pushing KAI further back into his base.

Match3: And as if KAI remembered the last game and learned from it, it now expands nicely and "Hammers" the RAI Comm by chance before the 20min. mark. The nuke killed 3 con bots building a semi-finished Ambusher in the southern midfield. Big fight in two locations, good chances for KAI, but RAI held out. Then Spring crashed again.

Match4: At first KAI expanded nicely and put up some good fights in mid. But due to missing AA and RAI using Tech2 Gunship early, KAI lost a lot of Hammers. Then it turned out the expansion in the south just was about spamming adv. radars. RAI wins easily after about 40mins.

I like it that every game between the AIs is different, and they tend to favour certain units over others, which give them kind of a personal note. :wink: Now lets see if QAI and TSI can keep up with the two major AI skills. 8)

I've uploaded it to "Spring Replays". It didn't appear at once, maybe they check the demos somehow before allowing listing.

I too would like to see replay #4, the
radar-farm bug should no longer exist
in 0.12 ("should" being the operative
word)...
