New Map - Tumult

Post by hunterw »

my 6th map.

14x14 meant for 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4s. dust off ur kbots folks.

also feel free to steal the palm trees, but be careful as they are too high poly to be making forests of.

ooh one of the hills.

Still, the big tall cliff son tabula are the worst for phallic imagery. Some BA players see female anatomy in the corner valleys.

You should have seen the beta version... only one word could describe it: GOATSE
hunter knows what I'm talking about.

If this map plays anything like the beta version then this is your best map by far and the palm trees are pure win, did you make them yourself? and I see you even buffed up the texture so the slope will be more visable.
All in all: Fing NICE!

yeah, i finally cracked out 3dsmax for a spring map. lots of hoops to jump through to get a feature working, much less one with transparency/specular...really odd how they put that together.

if you guys see dicks and other such whatnot in this one you are trying too hard 8)

I wonder, when are you going to break into map sizes ideal for large games? Say, 28x24 or larger?

not until i get some more ram. i was barely able to open up the texture map of my 20x20 and put metal spots on it - had to turn off undo etc.

2 layers @ 10240x10240 pixels is pretty memory intensive :|

1v1 does not comprise the entirety or even the majority of play.

What does this have to do with anything? Large games do not comprise the entirety or even the majority of play either.

Thanks, Dragon.

Well, zwzsg thinks that the majority of play is offline against many bots... if that is the case, multiplayer maps of large size are still preferable for the largest number of people.
