Okay, well I've read through the NTai threads I could find and couldn't spot this error anywhere, so I'm asking myself.
Finally figured out how to open config files with the NTai toolkit. First of all, should NTai do nothing whatsoever unless I use the toolkit on it? Because that's what it does. Just sits there.
Anyway, my problem is that when I open the toolkit program, the window isn't the way it should be. Half the pages are just outside the window, which cannot be resized or maximised. How am I supposed to use the toolkit if I can't even see half the menus/tabs/buttons/etc?
Does anyone know what might cause this and perhaps how to fix it? Thank you.
Okay, never mind. Changed my screen resolution to 1024x and the window seems to have expanded to fit everything in. What the crap?

Took a screenshot but I have nowhere to upload it. Anyway, turning my monitor resolution up fixed the problem.
Now I have another problem. I went and wrote in a build list (mex, mex, factory, power) and turned antistall off and gave it 50 handicap like it said, and the commander still just sits there doing nothing. I'm running this on Final Frontier at the moment, gonna try a few others in a moment.
Heck, at least NTai loads. AAI and KAI just crash the game and give me "invalid global .dll config file" messages.

Ok you have a friend(commander) there and you need milk. You want your friend to go the shop and get some milk so you write a shopping list (buildlist/tasklist), and you put milk on the list(keyword/task).
Thats basically what youve done. And your missing something. You didnt give your list to your friend! You didnt tell your friend you wanted them to go the shop! You just made a buildlist and didnt assign it to the commander!
Goto the units page, select the commander and check your buildlist in the list on the right. Remember to save all your work before testing.
