please? can we remove the hardcoded "lol factories cant move kthx" code?

Go ahead. I think the biggest issue was the yardmap...

zwzsg script had issues and they werent truly mobile.

Lua can do this.

Well, my approach was just to weld a factory on a moving unit. Works quite well. Try that mutator. I used LUA to automatically spawn the factory so you shouldn't have to type the cheat in Spring75. Though it was tested only on some old test build, not the releleased 75b2.
