Zippers are of limited use even with heavy micro, but they are of at least some limited use.

i agree with it needing somekind of a buff, someone suggested heavier impulse and better accuracy with the cost of putting its damage down a little bit.

you can all forget the high traj bullshit since nobody in the dev team does want this to happen no matter how much you cry for it.

it will have a buff, but its not going to be high traj.

95% of the stuff and balance in this mod arent my own.

If your unhappy with the modding team, go make your own mod, we do not want to fuck the balance just because you think something is/is not cool.

imo theyre in the same class as the core's cloacked crawling bomb;

unit specially meant to do a spesific task in rare situations.

i think zippers being faster is not the option as a mean of buffing it, but i could be wrong.

the main thing about zippers is that they have so little hp purposefully, and by the time you can afford them the enemy will have a effective t2 defence.

Maybe they could use bigger los;
to spot the enemy faster & not getting mowed down by several vipers and could go around like they should ?

They seem to take like 3 seconds between shots and sometimes you have to stand there waiting for them to fire again which kinda negates their high speed.

I havent seen zippers used in a long time let me double check :X

Edit::Welp, the reload speed isnt nearly as bad as i thought it was

i never. ever. suggested high traj as the only thing that could be done to help them. i was jsut SUGGESTING they be buffed. high traj COULD BE ONE POSSIBLE SOLUTION to buff them.

you're not disagreeing with me at all, you're just setting up a strawman and then flaming me for the hell of it. gj.

Its a shame that this development thread is starting to sound like all the other great mods which eventually died premature deaths from too much arguing. Final Frontier, E&E anybody?

Seriously does it really matter?

make your own version if you disagree with a dev and try it out (its easy enough to modify a units parameters), you could even join the team if you cared that much.

Just stop flaming mods and taking away the enjoyment devs get from working on stuff.

Sleksa is not a developer. He merely happens to share a clan tag with the script monkeys in charge of this. In addition, no, we could not join the team if we wished. The team is not open, the team is completely self-assured of their superiority in all things balance. That said, I do like the game that DayWalker and NOiZE have given us.

Final Frontier died because it alienated the player base. E&E is not dead, but the script monkey/artist behind it has some personal issues.
