Wake effects in the CEG?

Is there a way to replicate the wake effects in the CEG? (they're a bit a like groundflashes on the water surface - they appear in the default water explosion, and from behind most ships)

No idea.

Would be nice to know if wakes now use object rotation so that you don't have to use 2-polygon objects, by the way.

I've been using point objects with my wakes. They work fine
