It's time for the regular Last.fm thread. Basically, last.fm logs the music you play on your computer and puts it on a site. It can then recommend stuff to you and play you radio of it. It also allows you to find people similar to you.

Here's mine:

You may also want to try out:

http://www.pandora.com/
I prefer it since you don't need to install any plugins on your winamp, and it chooses music you like pretty well. It's based on the idea that music is made up of different 'genes' (e.g soft vocals, fast erratic tempo, electronic based instruments, 80s time period etc) and picks new songs based on the attributes of a song you like.
Funky stuff

So it recommends music based on what I listen to?

Cool... I'll try this. I don't know if I can reveal my super top secret playlist to anyone here though, it'd be too humiliating if you knew the sap I listened to.

Register a last.fm account and use it's radio. Its similar in idea to pandora but I find the songs it plays you are alot more relevant to the genre/songs of your station

Last.fm lets you do a search for tags or a search for similar artists

Similar artists finds people in its database who like that artist and plays you what they listen to

Tags will play what music is tagged with a specific tag

So you could try listening to a station with a dnb tag and see how it goes i guess :I

Which sucks. Also, why can't the streams be accessed with some other media player. No, this is utter crap.

Look, legal issues prevent you from picking which to run, and the site is probably dependent on advertising, like Pandora.
