Can you provide a screenshot of the error?

The content of infolog.txt (in spring directory) would also be nice

infolog = infolog.txt in the Spring Directory.

As for hyperlinks and such, post them anyway as plain text. We can still copy-paste them into our browsers

It's possible it's not even got far enough to generate an infolog.

You say that TASClient crashes too? Do you mean it also crashes immediatly or it crashes when launching spring?

I don't have any infolog in the spring directory. Spring Test and TASClient crashes immediatly when i trying to launch them.
Even if i post a hyperlinks as a plain text i can't do this

Does it give a specific message when it crashes?

Yes but it is in polish and i don't know how to translate it to english....
but it's something like that : "The application was not initialazed exactly (0xc0000033) Klick OK to finish application" this text is the same in the tasclient and spring test

The text in this error is : "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000033). Click OK to terminate the application"

have you tried running settings.exe before and remove all the eycandy stuff like shadows, and reflections on units. untick everything, basic water also.
maybe you video card can't handle shaders, I had similar problem with my geforce 6600gt.
hope this helps

edit: I jsut reread your post entirely, you have almost the same config than me and spring run perfectly with the eycandy stuff.
