i cant believe you guys actually released a version of spring with so many problems.
Software development is not easy. There were only a few of us available to test on Sunday, and we only had about 3 hours to spend with it. Most of those were spent in single player before we squashed another, worse network bug. If you want less bugs, we either need more testers or more time. Since we didn't have any more time, we needed a bunch more people which is hard to get together on a Sunday.

If you are interested in how hard this stuff is, I suggest you take a few systems analysis & design and project management classes at your local college. I'd also suggest reading "The Mythical Man Month" and a few other classic IT project management books.

I can't believe there are people this stupid in the world.
what are you even talking about?

dont ignore how much fail was put into this update, theres need of so many patches and a new update in under a weak.

considering your the person who left spring because no one liked you, think about yourself.

and i did test if you want to point fingers

i know its not, but when 80% of all games dont get past the 10 minute mark, i dont think you should release it over a version that has a 99% success rate.

Do you have any constructive criticism Spawn_Retard or do you keep trolling?

I have not seen you on the test server, nor have I seen any bug reports by you. I definitely have not seen a PM from you saying that the SVN build had too much bugs to release.

Contrary to you, I have seen el matarife actively participating in (last minute) testing. Also he has been the first one to truely functionally test a lot different features all by himself instead of just playing a game or asking me what to test. (Good job btw, thank you el matarife)

If the choice is between release now with x unknown bugs or release later with 2*x unknown bugs, then it's pretty obvious which is the better solution.
(And don't tell me test more, because that's exactly what happened this release, and it has inevitably caused 80% of the bugs to be fixed.)

And how do you suggest to measure this if there are like 2 testers online?

And btw, the b stands for beta. Not for "production environment suitable game without a single bug".

Which, BTW, even Blizzard knows is impossible to achieve.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm just glad to help out in any way I can.

Actually, I think there were three of us heh. And Meltrax and I managed to get a complete game done (He won, but only because I backed off to let it go a little longer). Our problem was that we didn't have enough people to stress the code to the breaking point, the bug only apparently shows up in games with more than 2 people.

Besides, it isn't like "production environment games" haven't shipped with game breaking bugs before. Battlefield 2 shipped with tons of bugs, issued a patch they had to withdraw and then the entire development team disappeared for over a month, and that was EA's big PC title that year they spent millions developing and marketing.

Yep, I'm sorry we missed it. Unfortunately, it only shows up in games with enough people and we didn't quite have enough to fully stress test it. There just weren't enough people around on a Sunday who wanted to install and test with us.
