If it is in some sort of html like format I guess the wiki would be a good place to add it.

Put it in http://spring.clan-sy.com/wiki/tutorial

Or edit http://spring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Create_units

BTW, can someone please make an index of all wiki pages, or explain me how I'm supposed to find what there is in the wiki without having to click "Random page" a hundred times?

It's more of a general strategy guide, so it would proably work whit most mods if you replaced the units names.

I cant upload tonight me thinks. I still have some tips i have to write out, plus some strategys about higth advantge and stuff.

I can give you a small index thing thou.

You can find a list of wiki pages here: http://taspring.clan-sy.com/wiki/Special:Allpages

Perhaps I should update the frontpage with a few more wiki links as well now that there are a bunch..

Yes, every one knows that an OTA strategy guide is totally better.

Code: Select all

- If it is a land map, do not build stumpies since the flash is faster, costs less and is all around better.
- Do not build Jeffys because the Flash only costs a little more and is much better.
-Do not build samsons since they no longer fire over friendly units and so, only the front ranks fire.
- Do not go K-Bots because they are slower and weaker with the exception of Rockos that, since they no longer fire over friendly units, aren't really that good anymore.
- And then, go to lvl-2 to build a lvl-2 constructor to build stuff.
- Do not build anything more in lvl-2 since it is a waste of metal and you're better off building more flashes.

um... stumpies fire OVER flashes so a 2:1 ratio is best. if you play 500PopCap then you are not playing OTA coz strictly speaking OTA is a 200 unit limit, at a 200 unit limit quality>quantity @ late game so tanks like reapers appear, deleters etc are used and also voyeurs. lvl1 kbots are INCREDIBLY useful on the defensive when supported by tanks (like reality a combo of inf/tanks will beat either tank/inf spam) watch the min3matvsnoize2 replay too see what i mean. we both use kbots supported by vehicles. scouts are used to SCOUT the enemy base and find weak points etc. hell i even use aircraft constructors early game on a ground map and pull it off!!! watch my OTA replays and see that OTA>xta :p

maybe more of...

Code: Select all

\
 \
  \
   \
    \
OTA\ XTA
      /
     /
   /
  /
 /
/

To put it esay, both have isuses, and maybe OTA is better at the moment, but not much unless when you are playing a metal map, where in XTA there is a lvl 2 tank/krogoth slugfeast, while in ota is fastet rusher. Can some ONEST ota player come forward and addres the big issiues?
And a answear as ''none at all'' is not appricheated, and proably ignored.
(thats you mini3mat)

Cant we agree that both sides need something new? Something that balances lvl 1 vs lvl 2? Making lvl 2 stronger, but lvl 1 not useless? making so krogoths arent UBER, but not wussies? Make wesseals the fast cheap and usefull scouts they are suposed to be? Make lvl 2 AA strong egnuff to take down lvl 2 planes on a 1:2 › ratio?
Ect...

I think ill make a treadh about this in Mods, check it out-.-*

AA is too buggy atm :( atm it is AA<OTA when AA fixed they should be equal but different (AA has SHITELOADS of units though- be warned!)

AA when removed of its buggs is > ota.

Its more balanced. And contrary to other OTA based mods every unit doesn't have 3 others that do the same thing.

its a nice mod but at best its equal to OTA, too many units! @_@ i like OTA, more tactics than strategy for the most part, HOW you control your flash/stumpy columns and your rocko/hammer/jethro hordes :)
