This is a great looking map.

improvement:

Before I say anything about how it could be improved I need to stress something.

What you have now works. The changes that could be made are in detail. Redoing the texture to add more detail but essentially the same look and style, same colours and layout, would work. Changing the colours and stuff wouldnt work.

Havign said that I think the texture looks alright and the best way to improve the map is not through texture changes, but rather through well placed features. I think the default spring trees do you no favours. Smoths palm trees will look out of place here too.

I'd go look at lathans black lake swamp map, some of the features there are very nive and dotted around in clumps would look nice. Theres one or two which could pass as small looking trees or large vegetation, such as the big green leafy one with no flowery stuff. A few boulders and stones on the high land wouldnt go amiss either. Lathan made quite a few of those aswell iirc.

Too dark. Reminds me almost of Picasso's early works.

Water is too blue, should be more green with a higher level of gray overall. the sunlight / sky feel wrong.

I like the darkness of the map, though I wish it could be somewhat more directional.

I like it, but the spring trees need to go.

My suggestion would be to increase the number of metal patches, and reduce the amount of income from each to the standard of 2.0; tidal strength is also a bit high.

The slopes look pretty good. In BA it will be a mostly kbot map, but in E&E it looks decently balanced.

"OK" will add more metal patches ... not too many .. and reduce the income
to 2.0 ...

This will take a few tries to get it right ....
