8v8 Maps

Post by vraa »

Are there any good 8v8 maps?

It's getting kinda crowded doing 8v8 on Altored and Comet and Delta... Duo is just an odd map. Delta Duo pretty much ends up being 2 games on 1 map, it's silly.

OH!

lol, sorry, I just woke up, I thought he said 8X8

not many large maps are made because the community cries and defecates on themselves over large map file sizes.

now, that being said, I do not play AA anymore but I can say that:

deserted sinkhole
dessicated sinkhole
giant hills and valleys
edola prime

may work

Out of those, Giant Hills and Valleys would definitely work. Heck, you could probably have a 16 player ffa on that map due to its layout.

Eidola Prime would probably work as well, though I suspect it would be kbot wars.

The sinkhole maps might work, but are less ideal than the other two.

plains and passes
greenhaven/redhaven would prolly work pretty well
2 continents remake
erm... i forget the name, but there is a purple crystal world map with 2 "harbours" and a central metal-rich island, that could work 8v8 i spose.
painted desert would work too...

I could probably find some more but I'm on my crummy laptop without my maps directory

That's the only map I've played successfully with 8v8. I would like a lot more maps like this but with variety as well (sea possibly).

Thanks guys!

Problem is, a lot of maps that are big enough for 8vs8 have so huge of file sizes that no one downloads them.

But 8v8 Could be a blast on it
