i think the tank would look better if you would stay with one single main turret.
These clipping errors look bad.

Perhaps the texture could be improved, it looks like taken from kernel panic ^^

by just make the "panelcolours" more different?... i fear that it will look like a lego-tank or something...

Add some shading to it for instance.

Hate to use something I made as an example, but this is what I think good contrast may perhaps look like...

edit: Damn jpg.. Oh well, even Jpg'ed to death, it looks better than it did in UpSpring...

edit2: Oh! Wtf! I just noticed I don't have a second front cannon!?...

@rattle thx i will try this... as soon as i find that option in gimp

btw i know that the tank isnt ta-style ... but i didnt know it was supposed to look like the TA-style, which i fear im not able to copy...

There is no option for shading in gimp, you can't just put shading on it, you have to apply it yourself.

Yes, its an s3o.

You have to draw the shading on. Use a soft brush and draw it on a seperate layer. Then adjust the layers opacity to your likes. Of course if you mirrored everything properly you could use cloud generator but that isn't as nice as handdrawn shading.

Actually he probably means the way light reacts to the surface. This includes painted details as well as lighting for the mesh itself (as game lighting algorithms are only a fast approximation and hand drawn shading will greatly improve the look).

Using an AO pass baked in a program like Blender is a good approach to start with.

No that's decals. More contrast will make the model not look like a gray blob.

BTW, its not dead ^^ so bad people who said that LLTA is dead, shut up :D
I will release a new version very soon, but that will take some hard work, i searching for people with script/model/texture/sound or everything else skills, so if you like that shitty old versions of LLTA and you can help me make it more a mod , not like a dumb addon with some old models, so answer here or send me a private message ! :)

BTW , i search for someone who can make a trailer of LLTA in some time, *looks to crappage* (your videos are awesome !)
^^

I can awlays help you with original sound effects, but you have to remember that my effects mean B I G , both in terms of quality and in terms of size, I hope you don't mind, and maybe textures too, and some other stuff, just tell me when you continue to work on it and this is good units you made, good work.
