FrontPage Design discussion

Post by AF »

There's somewhat confusion over what exactly you all want or feel is good for the frontpage in the new spring site, regarding what content the layout and the quantity.

So I request that soem discussion take place and some ppl give mockups in images of what they feel would be best, aswell as throwing out ideas.

Regarding content, I think some news should be on the frontpage (not in the least to show it's an active project). As I pointed out earlier I think 1 or 2 "official" news items (releases, new lead etc.) and about 5 community news items would be fine. The community news items could be accompanied with a screenshot each so you have some graphics to show too :-) While the community news could be headlines (and images) only I think the official news should be full text, like now, but only 1 or maybe 2 items.

Just a remark in general about this topic, this is something AF requests.

I had the feedback round, I had good feedback and now my layout is more or less final. Changes are still possible but someone else will have to write the code for it.

This is to prevent bikeshed painting.

You can of course still comment on layout but I'm moving on to the other aspects that need work.
