Looks like someone got their wish (kinda). Three of the hosts are hosting SimBase, Kernel Panic and Complete Annihilation.

Im the only member of SmuG who can host games does anyone mind if i just throw up 14 BA autoservers?
But everyone plays BA so the servers will never be green. IT WONT WORK :P

But seriously, the only reason right now to add regulation is simply because jack arses want to add a regulation to hurt a lesser mod. SHAME!!!!

I get paranoid too about these machines watching my every move... I bet someone has plugged in a learning AI in there somewhere and soon it's going to come out from it's murky cave and pwn us all, the end is near..

True. Let's set them all to Speed Metal just in case.

XTA has like 25 % of the players, BA has about 75% of the players

so 8 autohosts for 25% of the playerbase then BA needs 24 autohosts

any volunteers?

BA has about 55% of the players. You forget all the other games and all the other people.

As the initiator of this organisted AutoHost idea, I will share to you the original purposes:

- Provide a fimilar server structure/representation for newbies to use and feel comfortable with.

- To show a sense of unity and organisation within our particular section of the community.
- Provide stable/continous housing for playing XTA games and to assist those unable to host/configure a router.

- Provide a place for up-and-coming mods to be played (only ones that the AutoHost owners feel have some sort of potential).

Those were the intentions conversed and panned out before we even decided to start. If they arn't used, we dont mind, but they will be there regardless.

Hope you enjoy them.

eight is just unneccesary

Image

one single xta game in the entire lobby has more than one player (1v1)

i think you better start some more autoservers, just to be on the safe side..

I see 4 XTA autohosts, 1 SWTA autohost, 1 CA autohost and 1 SimBase autohost in that image. Definitely not 8 XTA autohosts. Heck, I see only 7 autohosts in total.

noize you know as well as i do that the stats system is innacurate; it counts multiple games in 1 hosting session as 1 game, i.e. it counts all games played on autohost 1 as 1 game.

It also only updates every 20 minutes, so most short games won't get on the graph.
