I must've stated 5 times I am not hardcore.. I even said it in my first post...

edit: LMFAO, I am positive I am not that elite :P
Yet you make it a point of pride that you spend hours browsing the $5 bargain bins looking for hidden gems that nobody else plays, and that's part of the description of "hardcore" you gave...

It's clear that we're supposed to think that you're "hardcore" and then you can be all modest and be like "no i'm not hardcore i'm only a 'true gamer'".

in other words i see what you did there
edit. who in the world would vote themselves a "bandwagon gamer", "bandwagon gamers" don't play spring they play SUPCOM

I am a normal gamer like you said.
With playing older games and stuff,

I totally likr C&C tiberian sun because of base building.

its a older game now.

I like buying a new game now and then.
And guys with 360 are not hardcore gamers, who the hell sad that :P

I'm the hardcore gamer, minus the really damn good at all of them, part....

I can hold my ground don't get me wrong, but I'm not the best at every game out of the box, I put myself just a bit above average on all of em though, sept Doom 1 or 2, I'm effing WIN at those... I seriously can beat both of them on nightmare, without cheating...

YES! it is possible.. :P you just, have to be insane and never, ever, ever, ever stop moving and shooting... also, memorizing all the levels helps

Games and Genres of games I've played/enjoyed/beaten (probably very truncated):
Space Invaders
Pac-man
Digger
Frogger
Keystone Kapers
Cannon Fodder
Pole Position
Pitfall
super pitfall
Mario (all)
Rad Racer
RC racer
Final Fantasy (all)
Megaman (all)
Zelda
Metal Gear (all)
Mechwarrior (all)
Contra
Robocop vs. Terminator
Double Dragon
Milans Secret Castle
Marble Madness
Excitebike
Bigfoot
Duckhunt

(ok I'm tired of thinking of them all this could go on forever)
(there are probably about 40 more games I had for the Atari..)
(all the rest of the NES games ever, EVAR made, SNES evar made)
OO and STREET FIGHTER!!! and MORTAL COMBAT!! ooooo fun
Virtua Fighter :P .. all the RPG's galore on every platform...

AND ARCADE GAMES!!! DAVE AND BUSTERS FOR THE EFFIN WIN!!!
VR Arcades, Battletech namely...

and then starts computer games.... (I kinda pulled away from console after the N64... I've played a few games on X-Box, TestDrive and whatnot... but, meh, I've learned to like the computer better)
I can't think of any computer game (minus some of the very very very new ones) I haven't played, tried, owned, or watched someone else play..
literally, from Space Quest 1, to Obliterator, to Jill of the Jungle, Commander Keen, Doom, Kings Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Warcraft, Command and Conquer, Apache, X-wing, Tie-Fighter, Chuck Yeragers Flight Simulator, Sim Earth, Sim City, Sim bla bla bla, Railroad Tycoon, Might and Magic, Master of Magic, The Elder Scrolls, emulated everything, stupid flash games, windows games, downloaded games, pinball games, Flight Simulator, um... then comes the wonderful 3d accelerated era! Q U A K E and beyond!... and I've played all of them too...

god, I AM a nerd.

Has anyone actually beat Oregon Trail as a Farmer? I had to be a banker every time and Id stock pile on bullets but thats cause I was young and thought thousands of bullets was awsome.....

When I was in grade school we even had this little animation program we could use. And there was Cross Country Canada, a trucker game. And we had Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego, my personal fav.

When I was in 2nd Grade, I may have. I got very good at Oregon Trail, very high hit ratio - not that it was complex enough for that to be an issue anyway.

Number Munchers. Oh, Number Munchers.

Oregon Trail?

Oh yeah, that one game where Aryans use their God-given right to take the mudskins' land.

Figures that you'd like it.

(note: Oregon Trail was actually a cool game.)

The games we had in school were "Donald Duck teaches using the keyboard" and "Europa", a crappy quiz game with minigames in between. Well, until one day one guy installed Abuse on the PCs.
