metal map ai's

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could reccomend me a good ai for metal maps, because ive just found my faviorate map from old ta.
The map is over crude water v1 and ive tried many ai's which ither dont work or put up a terriable fight, (4 buildings+factory) so any suggestion would be helpfull.

I wasnt aware over crude water had been remade, metalheck and core prime industrial yes.

At the moment RAI should work well. AAI works. NTai will work if you build a config or get someone who has a config to share it (you dont just drop it in and play with it....)

ahh i see, thanks for your help. Ill look around for some configs.
(over crude water is on the unkown files site, a couple of pages in with no picture)

I dont know but im glad they did, only it would be better if spring wouldnt crash and that the ai would actualy build factorys. ive looked for configs but no luck so far any suggestions?

what mod?

Overcrude waters the one with all those bridges on it right? If I remember correctly, even the OTA AI had trouble because of building placement and blocking up the paths, spring AIs are very likely to make the same error.

The mod is xta.08. yes it is the one with all the bridges but the ai on ota did manage to get around it. i did try supreme battlefield but the ai did the same thing but then it crashed.

NTai?

If NTai has no config it will just sit there and dgun any passing units.

If your spring ever crashes, goto the bugtracker at the top and create a bug report saying it crashed, and attach infolog.txt to it.

ok thx. im trying to get ma head around the ntai toolbox thing ive run the mod to get a unit list so im just trying to get the exe to work.(now fixed)

I have a question, ive created a simple tak list for the commander and a factory but they wont save so i cant test them. so what am i doing wrong

OK.

Run NTai with spring and the chosen mod.

This creates a blank config for that mod.

Open it with toolkit.

Create a new tasklist called 'commander'

Fill up the tasklist.

Goto the untis tab and find the commander and click on it in the list

At the right you'll see a list of tasklists youve made, check the commander tasklist you built. This will assign the commander tasklist to the commander unit.

Goto the first page and save.

ok, ill see if it works but the error keeps saying that there is nothing in the build list.

Are you just putting stuff in the tasklist when you open the config or are you creating a new tasklist then doing it? I've added notes in that tab in 0.27 for if that happens if that is the case.

on 1944 mod the RAI ph4ils at metal map
it dosent build cuz it cant find metal spot

NTai will not work on metal maps, it doesn't space out metal makers so gets itself totally jammed up.
