I've also tried dabbling a bit in making a single player mission; the information on making them seems a bit scattered and patchy at best - which is going to put alot of potential mission makers off.
For example I'd like to know more about how i can reference the properties of enemy units i've just created - position, allied to, health, distance to units from team x etc.
I know that widgets can reference these properties for units within the players control but it seems that the calls to do this don't work in the context of mission scripts.

There are lots of people who want to learn Spring and the internals of Spring to help it progress in development, but the wiki is time consuming and often misleading. I think it would be most beneficial if developers of their craft gave a beginners guide to at least get some people started in the right direction...And maybe a wipe of the current wiki or a noticeable refresh of data identified as correct....Unless of course the beginning part of this paragraph doesn't bother anyone. Maybe someone could create another thread for this issue if anyone is interested in stepping up? I think this is something that has to be done eventually anyways. But yeah we need documentation writers too, since basically nothing is documented properly IMHO. (Well maybe some stuff that hasnt changed for years has crystalized out on the wiki.)
