Advance wars: Spring - Project [RECRUITING]

I am planning a ADvance Wars mod for spring, but RTS, i am recruiting coders and modelers, i know this is hard but i got a good concept, we will try to start with the TA units and them slowly get the real models, so i planned this:
Advance Wars: Spring
Commander == CO
Fixed bases
Infantry = Peewee
Mech = Storm
Tank = Stumpy
Med Tank = Bulldog
Neotank = Vanguard
AA = Phalanx
Missile = Samson
Sub = Piranha
Cruise = Conqueror
Battleship = Milleniun
Transport = Hulk
Rocket = Banisher
Artillery = ShellShocker
Recon = Weasel
APC = Intruder
Factory = T1 Veh ARM
City = T2 Kbot Core

I know it is ugly as hell but so we can focus on coding and concept, so, if anyone interested, post here, ideas are accepted

Current team:
Magus_X -> Project Leader
KingRaptor -> Project Leader

ignore caydr, do it anyway. He has 3-4 mods that he is supposedly working on and frankly we have only seen some shots of awful ships for GEM.

Do any of you remember Battle Isle or BI2? It's a lot more interesting than AW1/AW2 to me, mainly because I prefer the scifi theme. It should all be doable with an exception of trains.

actually the mod is just TA with diferent gameplay, but i did big changes today, hope to make a beta with TA models until the end of the next week, without Fuel or ammo

theres are open source games similar to bi, like advanced strategic command, crimson fields or even battle for wesnoth, just in case you want to know


as for this project, i dont see how to turn aw into a fun rts.... what will you do about the economy?

well, the mexes can be turn like cities, like in 1944 that they are flags, and only infantry can build them

I don't really see the big deal with Advance Wars, it was an inferior sequel to Super Famicom Wars and there were better games around anyway, Nectaris being the best example.

Battle Isle was basically a clone of Nectaris.

in spring it wont play anything, i mean ANYTHING, like advance wars.
you wont be able to have general super powers.
there wont be anime characters.
there wont even be music.
there wont be capturable cities or ammo.
it will look like a generic wargame. tank. soldier. helicpter. plane.
ALL the things that made advance wars fun are impossible to economically reproduce in spring, and its a turn based game.
not trying to be a troll, just pointing out, this is not going to work..
