why does no one play final frontier anymore?

why does no one host FF anymore? i am the only one i have seen hosting for a LONG time, when i started playing spring (around january) people used to play it a lot more and i saw people hosting it commonly why does no one but me host anymore?

General lack of interest. The game is poorly advertised, and the majority of community members find it unbalanced to boot.

optimus made some design decisions that went against the grain of a lot of the fanbase and only listed to his yes-men

i was doing a total rebalance of all FF units with min3mat.. but it ended up with me doing everything and noone really cared so its 65% done >_>

No I'd assemble a fair amount of playtesters to balance things out until they are considered fine. You cannot please everyone.

We did care, but Fang and Smoth were rather busy at the time. Still need your documents sometime...

I think one of the main reason might be because FF takes a unit having advantage over some other because it was build to fight it to the extreme. Lets say that unit A is good against unit B. In most rts unit A would kill B, but lose to a big group of B. In FF it wins, so the advantage units have over the ones they were made to fight is too big.

that is why they should add a new unit
a metal expensive SUICIDE BOMBER that has small damage radius but massive damage (but cant damage buildings) :twisted:

Hum... how about just balancing it? :)

Maybe we can remove some units too. I think there are too many units for the same purpose on the mod.

In the one or two games I've actually played it showed great potential to be fun, so if someone would ballance it I'd be looking fowards to a game.

I played it a few dozen times. Not much fun, but sometimes, you take what you can get.
