.:New Maps:. Canyon Wasteland, Vegan Canyon, Flooded Canyon

Post by Forboding Angel »

Ok, I was asked by quite a few members in the community several times for variations on my canyons maps and here they are.

Wasteland Canyon is the same as the original canyons Map.

Flooded Canyons - Water battle.

Vegan Canyons - Canyons map with vegitation.

I hope you guys enjoy these variations. All the maps are in one archive sd7 (fixed the slow loading). Also, shadows are fixed now as well.

Download Here: http://fileuniverse.com/?p=showitem&ID=2512 (download link reinstated)

And here are the alotment of screenies for all different variations...

oh jesus, for the love of christ.

There is only one hill that crocs can't make it onto. That hill is the smallest on on the eastern center. The hill is all of a 10 x 10 footprint. Use a battleship or gimps for that one. Not worth recompiling the entire thing again.

BTW I just went in game to test this in case anyone is wondering.

Also, starting imn the water is a good thiung. The hills only have 2 metal spots each, and there isn't a whoile lot you can do with that.

The water starts have 3 patches each and another one rather close by. So, here are your choices...

Start on land and have a total of 5 metal income... Or start in water and have a good total of 9 income?

if you guys don't know how to start in the water then I can't help you.

What, let me guess, you want to do fields of mm's and since I nerfed tidals you can't do that except on land?

Well too damn bad. The farms of windgens and MM's is for all intents and purposes an exploit vs the gameplay of ta.

Caydr is fixing the situation BTW.

But if that is your reason for wanting to start on land, then too bad. You can walk your comm up the hill. or use CHOOSE START POSITION.

You guys seem to want everything to be an air map... well got new...

It's a water map! Get used to it. On water maps you start in the water (generally). If you want land then walk to it! Or even better, don't play water maps.

Gorgeous map. Only one, minor caveat... can we see some maps with brown water, not blue? Water around land is usually either green/gray (oceans, where tidal/wave action carries away the silt somewhat) or browns/greys/reds. While I really like your maps overall, Foreboding, and you really seem to put an artist's touch on things, that's my only quibble, other than the occasional design issue (but, um, show me a map without design issues and I'll show you a map that is totally symetrical and really boring).

When you get around to editing the first post, please change them to thumbnails, they make my laptop grind to a halt.
