Moderation and a blatant 3 year hole
Moderator: Moderators
[TBH, if you want a completely peaceful and harmonious community, make deci and smoth the main mods. This place would be a utopia among internet forums in less than 3 days.]
Ahahahhahaha.
Tbh, if you want a completely peaceful and harmonious community, make Daywalker and Sleksa the main mods. This place will then transform into utopia in the tubes of the internet in less than 3 days.

I think that we need to look at the big picture, in relation to moderation.
Now, I have been a moderator on a number of forums. I have been persecuted by moderators who had personal vendettas against me on others. I have been moderated for breaking rules; even I chafe at the law of the land from time to time. I have moderated spammers, flamers, flame-baiters, multi-banned individuals, and most importantly, myself and my peers.
Moderation does not operate well by fixed rules. It is not conducted well by those who enjoy power, nor is it an enjoyable position for those who conduct it well. Most moderators will make mistakes. At some point, a moderator will be asked or forced to moderate a discussion which is not appropriate, given their skills and opinions.
If you want a completely peaceful and harmonious community, look to fiction. You'll never find it among humans, and most people understand that.
As far as the Spring forums go, we have both episodic and recurring issues. However, we aren't any worse off than the next forum - the community has conflicts, yes, but all communities have conflicts.
I think we have a good moderator core - are they perfect? No. Do they always work for the best of the community? No. Do they make a fine attempt to do so? Yes.
Yes.
The attempt is all you can honestly and fairly ask for.

For the love of god, another one of these, "I'm being E-bullied" posts.
You come across very arrogantly sometimes AF, thats why people give you a rough ride, (and its not that hard from what Ive seen anyway).
If you were a little more tactful with others, they'd do the same for you.
Nobody likes a whiner and nobody likes a smartarse.

Bigsteve, please re-read *my* posts and unread *lordmatts* posts, then read *your* post, then reread *this* post.
This is not about "people trolling the AF", this is not a public complaint that I'm being trolled. If it were I'd have outright said it and focused on that topic. Of the people affected here I am not the major party and far from it.
In this thread I've been tempted to label one or two people troller and have a 1 word reply, for example one may be mistaken for thinking cabbage is in this group, whereas cabbage is more a clown than a troll from my point of view, as is one of the interpretations of the post above mine, not that some of the things he says are wise.

Read things through properly. From my point of view I could very easily just label you troll. But bigsteve, You come across very arrogantly sometimes, thats why people give you a rough ride, (and its not that hard from what Ive seen anyway).

i read it too.
i think his perspective is a dangerous one. if you accept a thief, because thieves must be part of the world, then you might not stop him. and thus he might steal from someone else, and so you have wrought more evil to the world.
on an internet forum, however, his words are unquestionably full of wisdom
