While I agree that shows, such as B5, Stargate, and Firefly are far and away superior to much of StarTrek, it is still one of the few successful SciFi shows out there. Also, StarTrek has gone downhill since TNG.

Actually I think it got even worse with DS9 and then voyager came out which was better than all that came before it.

Enterprise just isnt what it should be =(

Enterprise would of been fine IF they had tryed to be more like babylon 5 earler on. Casue i was actualy engoying the latter episodes more then the latter ones. ALSO they sould of lost the CRAPPY, Annoying, Monningy, INFURURATINGLY bad Cristian rock song or what ever its called. IT SUCKS SO MUCH I HATE IT ALL

Half the time I'm watching an Enterprise episode I'm thinking, "OMG, they stole that from *other sci-fi show, usually B5*!", and the other half I'm thinking, "OMG, why wouldn't you steal THIS from B5, too?! Then it'd be watchable at least!"

Why dont you make up REAL complaints insted of repeating ones that the other guy said. Like

The ship is pohny looking. The modls are crap. The gangsterplanet episod was vomit inducing. You cant use crystles, a bar and a lightbulb to make a laser that can melt a metal lock off of a door. Pool is played by hitting the white ball with the stick, not by hitting all the balls into holes with sticks. Every planet dosent have oxygin. The mind meld deuse ex machina gets old....FAST. The tacked on romantic sub plotts suck. The tacked on romantic MUSIC sucks. You cant tell someone's health by looking at three lines and their little bleepy lights. REDSHIRTS! REDSHIRTS! REDSHIRTS! Apollo was a realy crappy villin. The episode WITH Aplollo was a realy crappy episode. Kirck is a giggalo. EVERY EPISODE IS PRECHY! (Well thats true with all SifiTV shows, with the exeption of Firefly and anyother's i havent head about or seen, but Star Treck is REALY preechy) The racisem episode with the black and white people (you know the one i mean) was unwatchable. The Gangster Planet Epsiode was UNWATCHABLE. The Zindi Misfits was better the the Gangster Planete episod damit, and the Zindi misfits was CRAP ("oh we must destruck the ship captin!"). The history of Star Treck makes as much sence as the Bible (and thats not much, because for a book penned by an all knowing, omnipotent and genraly all poerfull deity, the Bible is written in many different styles with many conflicts of "facts". Ive always found it strange, that if God wrote the bible, then why did he make shakepeer a better writer then he was? But enough of my satirical rambalings and back to star treck).... Anyway the fact that star trek had all thease flaws, whitch would cripple anyother show, and yet still was realy fun to whatch is a testimony to the bizzar stupidity of humain kind. it right up their with Popmusic, Siencetology and Michal Jakson. (its MIchal Jorden who is the bascat ball player right? I always get them mixed up). TO anyone i may of offended i have one thing to say.... WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT (Runs away)

I personally think that Star Trek franchise has gone downhill since its original conception.

The comment about the ship sucking, let me show you something...they say that the NX 01 Enterprise (from Star Trek Enterprise) was an inferior ship which has an inferior ship hull. But then compare this:

So, is the hull design sucky or not? If it was, they wouldn't clone it! Reason #263 why Star Trek is going downhill.

It looks more advanced than the USS Enterprise of the 23rd century which is at least a century ahead. But then again all federation starships follow a set attern save ships such as the defiant and the miranda class but otherwise they all have the same basic shape and never seem to deviate too far from them.

ST:Voyager had startrek done perfectly imo but the rest just dont fit the bill.

zoombie, star trek does SUCK, but the bible should not be compared with star trek. i will give you some answers. if you mean in differnet styles such as the American Standard Version, King James Version, yes you would be right that they conflict with each other. let me tell you some history. King James Version sucks, translated by non-christian servants by king james to understand the bible but they had to translate it from the dead language of latin and did a fairly poor job. Then the american standard came out, rewritten by hungry money thirsty hippi-crits to make the bible less sexiest, cruel, to all the people who "feel offended by the bible because says it so clearly that they suck"
if god wrote the bible, well god never actually raised a finger to write the bible, he called his prophets, servants, i dont know, everyone you hear in the bible to write this stuff and somehow thus the bible was made. i say shakespeer was an okay writer, but GOD probably only wrote only the Ten Commandments.

It is my belief that the bible is nothing but propaganda created by the ruling classes of days long gone.

At the time the first few books of the bible where supposedly written the Israelites where worshipping 'many gods' as well as Yahweh, and then all of a sudden the king of Judea finds a lost book detailing the story of Moses and many other lost books. At that time he was more interested in uniting the peoples so he could invade Assyria and the northern territories previously known as Israel. He was killed though by Egyptians. Not to mention that numerous events from that time are false and have been proven false. Such as the whole story of Moses and the great move from Egypt back to Canaan. Egyptians where powerful, and for that many people to move out would mean economic ruin in the middle east and northern Africa which was never recorded, contrary to proof the Egyptians recorded everything and that several million people survived in a desert filled with Egyptian garrisons to return to Egyptian held Canaan to destroy cities which according to science either didn├óÔé¼Ôäót exist or had long been abandoned.

And the new testament? Look at the stories surrounding the religions of the Mediterranean (save Judaism) before the Christianity era. According to their mythos I could replace the word Jesus with Dionysus Osirus and many other numerous messiahs, who all had a last supper and other curious coincidences. Not to mention an amulet depicting Dionysus killed on a cross with somewhat similar words to those depicted later on Jesus. Jesus was taken up by the Romans and used to start a new state religion that ahs spiralled out of control to become what it is today, giving an excuse for anti-Semitism in later centuries and propelling the emperor to a new height as the supreme divine ruler of earth before god.

Religion is flawed. Your religion is found upon by yourself, it should not be taught, it is a matter of philosophy and what you believe. It should be questioned and changed if it doesn├óÔé¼Ôäót fit because how can you believe something that simply isn├óÔé¼Ôäót true? If you are religious and you learnt your religion then it isn├óÔé¼Ôäót a religion it├óÔé¼Ôäós a routine and a schema of knowledge that compliment each other and fill an emotional gap caused by either a lack of want to believe anything else for fear of not knowing thus denial or because you fear not knowing that there isn├óÔé¼Ôäót an almighty god out there in the Christian sense.. You├óÔé¼Ôäóve all fallen into the trap, you know the outer mysteries of these religions, but you don├óÔé¼Ôäót know the inner mysteries the real meanings and purposes behind the literal sense. They├óÔé¼Ôäóve been destroyed by the Romans and Islamic leaders and the other leaders of the worlds religions.

I don├óÔé¼Ôäót mean to completely harass and go on at people who believe religions, but I do stress to them the importance of challenging what you believe. After all if it is the true religion then no matter how hard you challenge it you will never find fault. Otherwise you face worshipping false gods and false ideals.
