Were pillboxes typically made out of metal instead of concrete? I know if I was pouring concrete for a bunker, it'd probably be cheaper and easier (and probably stronger) to just make the pillbox out of the concrete... (just asking, no insinuations intended)
Some cool bunkers I've dug up that are certainly squarish, but have somewhat more form to them then a chamfered box:
1, 2, 3, (well, I'm just going through google image search, there's heaps).
Making them look like they are primarily entrances to a larger underground complex could be a good way to go for this, too. Bunkers are easily the coolest part of any structures seen in WWII (Except for perhaps fighting in bombed out buildings, something you can't really do), so it'd be a shame to waste it.

I'm not sure about German bunkers, but USSR had more or less standartized "turrets" and "pillboxes" for use in fortifications, and they were made of metal. Also, sometimes old decomissioned tanks were used as turrets (like MS-1/T-18 which was Soviet clone of Renault FT-17). I'm sure Germans did that too as they have captured a lot of old French tanks (including a lot of FT-17 as well) during campaign of 1940 and had to find some use for them.

Well, see, machinegun pillboxes are usually only like 5-6 feet across... at that size, its easier to make them metal, as they can't be TOO large.
Pillbox
And ZSINJ! All of those bunkers are gun bunkers! Anyway like I said I changed the shape of it so don't worry.

I think the problem with the bunker is that it just looks plain. Put some seams on it, some crates stacked up leaning against the side, a motorcycle, etc.
Ditto the pillbox. The photo you just posted was only shiny on the top - the sides are rough, hammered-looking metal. Even if it's not supposed to be there, I'd put some seams on it, rivets, etc.
Obviously, if you're happy with it - don't bother. I have just gotten the impression you're comfortable with tweaking the skins of your models based on random crowd suggestions.

For tanks I've made two types of corpses. First is an essential "duplicate" of the original tank. For realism purposes.

Second, is a completely burnt out tank.

The second is obviously better for recognizing what is dead and what isn't (though you could use the friggen healthbars as clues!). The first however looks more realistic. Those "duplicate" corpses can also be further destroyed, turning into the burnt out hulks. The original plan was (way way back) that the first corpse represented a lightly-damaged/immobilized tank that had been abandoned by its crew, that could be ressurected (recovered) and put back into action; if it was further damaged it would become completely wrecked and unrecoverable.

No, I fixed thisyuritch wrote:What happens to the teamcolor on corpses? Isn't it always turning red?
I can't see any teamcolor on those tanks at all, so that may not be a problem for this mod, but generally this prevents the corpses from having original unit's textures.
