Cool,

that was amazingly simple...
I replaced the SDL.DLL in my Spring folder with an older Version (namely: 1, 2, 4, 0) I just copied out of my Scorched3D installation, and voil├âãÆ├é┬í it works.
Flawlessly...

Thanks for the Hint people, now I can play my original TotalA Campaigns and Spring on the same machine :)
Only thing missing now is DualView (but that's impossible in Win98, because there is no Monitor Spanning Mode... I know...)

Cheers, Joe

vanilla XP uses much more than the minimum requirements as it has numerous unnecessary services enabled such as the themes.

A little work and it'll be almost as fast if not faster than windows 9x.

Tobi wrote:That confirms my point that it is probably a regression/bug in SDL. Maybe he/you can try with the SDL.dll from mingwlibs-v7 (look on UF section Misc), to test whether they have already fixed the bug between 1.2.9 (included with 0.74b3) and 1.2.11 (in mingwlibs-v7) ?
Yes, Kthanks, with 1.2.11 (size 258048; date 27.06.06; internal name [1, 2, 11, 0]) Shift work fine.
