TA had AI profiles and ai-only units, but Spring is much better in that respect I agree.

Oh, two more things!

Spring is open source, meaning it can constantly be improved (TA can't, engine-wise)

Enough... this thread ends here.

Everyone has made his point quite clear and the thread is derailed anyway.

Considering how many features got implemented despite TA fanboys screaming about how they would break their games (don't ask me why, I have no idea what they were thinking) I don't think calling Spring TA is correct. One of its milestones was TA compatibility but now it's trying to cover more.

In my mind TA based mods are just that... mods of stolen content and they are just that... mods. Things that would classify as a TC in TA should be counted as their own game in the spring engine but this community doesn't like that notion.
I think it would better to say Contain large amounts of stolen content (they usually fail big time wether or not, if it adds cool/lame stuff) but there still mods, may I just add.

However EE, Gundam, and a few other things, could be considered mega mods, or proberly more accurate, total conversions

Total Conversions? Are we converting base content for the Spring engine? There is no base content for the Spring engine.

Aahhhhnnt! Wrong, nope! What the fuck are they converting!? We don't start with shit, we just make it. The logic in that is made of phail.
Wiki! wrote: A total conversion is a mod of an existing game that (usually) replaces almost all of the artistic assets in the original game, and sometimes core aspects of gameplay, such as a First Person Shooter interface. Many games provide players with the ability to edit the game's many elements, for example levels, sounds, enemies or weapons. Most modifications are limited in scope, resulting in a partial conversion. Total conversions are much less common, mainly due to the large amount of development and man-time needed to bring a whole project together. Often the goal of a group that sets out to create a total conversion is to sell their end product, which necessitates the need to replace the original content to avoid copyright infringement.
