re-installing and updating XP takes like 7 hours..!!!!!

FUCK!!!

stupid login info on domain wtf with university fucxorzzed my laptop... and I spend ALL DAY getting it back on track....

Make sure to turn off the thing to update all microsoft software. That makes it takes eons longer than just updating XP... :roll:

I can agree there.

I just reinstalled XP - during install it decided to run chkdsk on my backup drive, and took 3 hours "fixing things". Funnily enough, when it had finally done that and finished installing... about 80% (~160gb) of the drive was borked...

I feel your pain. I had to do this on a weekend-LAN once. Took me 7 hours of precious gaming time.
