Sure I want Spring to add new simpler better way for group loading, teleportation, unit eating, and such. But that's another matter. Here we were discussing spring trying to automatically create script bits for unit dying and unit sent flying in the air and such. Althought I fully support the idea have having script for unit dying and flying and such, what I really don't want is the engine to automatically create them. Because that would fail on any unit that tries to look or behave a little bit different. And so that would force every unit to be based on the same mould, or to fair awfully in spring. That would greatly reduce modding freedom.

If you read what I said, I clearly stated that Spring should do it automatically where there is no other option. If a user has scripted it's death, then it will run that instead.
My suggestion simply fills in the gaps where a unit maker hasn't customized his unit. I am all for giving unit makers absolute flexibility.
For example, unless someone feels like going back and scripting flying through the air animation for all the kbots in TA, then my script accomplishes a similar intent, very quickly, as I am reusing a previous script.
Another way would be to instead of running just the running animation script at double speed, put run all animations at the same time at double speed, so it looks like it is flailing its arms around too...
