I actually think this is a _good_ feature. Other games (like starcraft) have certain units that cannot attack ground/air. This does not make sense. The unit should be able to attack either ground/air, but obviously be much more effective against the units which it is intended to attack. Really, why wouldn't antiaircraft guns fire on ground units if they are in a position to do so?
Flak firing at ground units is realistic
Hi Flak guns firing at ground units is realistic. Fx Rommels German 88 mm Krupp canons were used in the battle at El Alamein in WW2 to knock out Montgomery's tanks.
Also, the flak guns takes up a huge portion of the number of units you can have, so it would be stupid if they did not serve any purpose in ground attacks.

shilka is coldwar i belive :), but german 88 was a anti air gun that proved a very effective anti tank weapon :). A weapons a weapon if it can shoot at planes it should be able to shoot at ground targets.Spaniard wrote:I agree with hrmph. The russians found out in world war two that their anti aircraft tanks (shilka) were also very effective as anti tank gun.
