.disablespecdraw function?

Yeah, i get some annoyance when i see 10 specs drawing the map full with different colors >__<

Would be nice to disable spectators for drawing, or adding markers.

I really don't care much, I won't disable it nine of ten times, but this is something the host should have control of, and then autohosts should allow a vote on it.

For that matter, I could see wanting to be able to make specs unable to talk to players, in case they were giving things away. Of course, you can always just kick them, but granularity might be nice.

IMO, specs should only be allowed to talk amongst each other. There is nothing more annoying that specs informing your enemy of an impending attack, or just generally spamming up the in game chat, so that you miss important messages from your allies :( </bitter experience>

A lot of the fun in spectating is talking about the game with other specs and pointing out interesting things to each other. Please don't disable that completely. Just add an option to make all specs only talk to each other, and that spec markers are only visible to other specs. Makes much more sense.

Already is that way.

I could see this if specs were being abusive and scribbling excessively. Excessive scribbling causes Spring to bog down/desync/crash. There's got to be a better solution, though...

They draws with their own colors, if they died and became specs.


So, nobody wants to disable specs for drawing things?

Thats fucking annoying when i try to watch the game, when 10 specs floods the whole map with penis pictures etc.
Then i need constantly to erase something in the map.

Once it crashed because 10 specs were drawing like hell, or at least i think it was cause of that... >__>

If there isnt .donotshowdrawedthingsjustforme function, ADD IT.

The current convention is that commands which only
affect the local player start with '/' (slash commands) ;-)

The .info should show a little pen icon when anyone is drawing, and maybe an eraser icon for when someone is erasing. This would allow the phallice drawers to be identified and kicked.

Sorry but the best thing about spring for me is the ability to both wage totally annihilating warfare on people and simultaneuously deface their base area with pictures of big hairy cocks. I know I'm not alone....
