Post by monohouse »

I wonder who runs spring on what settings, and what is proper for whitch system.

- Athlon XP, 1667/145 Mhz
- 768 MB DDR 290 Mhz
- R350 256MB 256bit, with my special R350 driver
- Deleted Lan Edition, unreleased (test) version (60/40MB)
- Almost everything on lowest, except: UnitIconDist, UnitLodDist and resolution all of which are on highest.

Some mods that are small-scale I can bring in the shadowmaps et al... but that's pretty much Kernel Panic and the single-unit mods. For normal play, it's minimum-almost-everything for me - especially AA's obscene unit-counts.

2ghz P4 w/ ATI 9600, so my box is a little behind some others.

on small scale games i turn on dynamic water, but on large scale games i turn water off, other then that i have most of the settings up, and antialiasing set to 2, shadow map i have down, and grass detail cause it isnt worth having on for me, ground decals i usualy have either half way or maxed out.

im running a Geforce6800 Ultra overclocked 256mb agp 8x.

on a athlon 64 3000+(1.8ghz) overclocked to 2025mhz with 1gb of ddr.

at the start of a game, when theres only a few units, i get 150-200 fps, later on when theres 600+ units i get about 40-50

Almost everything on lowest.

Laptop, 3.33GHz P4, ATI Mobility Radeon 9000, 512MB RAM + 128MB shared VRAM.

Barring overheating, Spring's FPS floor is about 20 for me, which is tolerable (I'm not an FPS whore, you won't hear me complaining about how I can "only" run such-and-such game at 90FPS). However, my particular brand of laptop is notorious for overheating, and thus for every 2 minutes playing there is typically 10-15 seconds of overheat, with FPS reduced to 5 or less.
